The Next Step
After many years of studying, law professors, practical exams, and bar exams, I finally became a divorce lawyer in Sacramento, something I had wanted for a long time. Of course, I’m not your typical lawyer. I went back to school at the age of 47 and I just got done. I’m now 55 and an official senior citizen in most restaurants. So why did I do this? Well, when I was a young woman, my husband found someone else and divorced me. I had a terrible lawyer and was left with nothing. I lived a hard life for a long time, and then I swore to myself that this would never happen to anyone else ever again. Law school was just the next step.
