A few years ago a friend of mine came to me to complain about her cell phone bill.  It was well over $1000 and she did not understand why.  So I logged into her account and found that her husband was using his phone a lot. In fact, he had over 2200 minutes to the same number.  These are the times when you cannot see why getting back with your ex would ever happen.  It turns out that he was having an affair.  Things got really bad for my friend.  Her husband got his mistress pregnant and then ran over one of their kids with the family van.  She gave him a second chance.  He ended up cheating on her again.

I am a Muslim who has grown up mostly in the United States. I try to respect every one, especially those who do not share my beliefs. I hope that we can find common ground other than American soil. I have wondered if I should not go back to the Middle East because of things that have happened like 9-11 and the war. I like this country and I would like to be someone like Fuad El-Hibri. He is from my country and has made a name for himself among the successful here in the United States. He is a hero of mine.

I was just asked as the pastor of a dear friend to give the eulogy at the funeral. I have been prepared on many occasions to give one, but I have never had to give one for someone so close to me. I want to make it personal, but still leave in all the things that will help to comfort people. He said, “It’s just for a bunch of weddings?  What a waste of space!” I hadn’t finished explaining, but was rather put off by his remarks, so I decided our discussion of mormon temples was done.

I would like to do a bit more traveling than I do now. I am going to be retiring soon and I am still pretty young, all things considered! I have been looking into new ways to learn foreign languages. I remember a time when if you wanted to learn one, you needed to sit in a class. Right now, I am looking into pimsleur japanese. I like how with a program like this, you can do it on your own. A friend of mine went back to school recently. My daughter is one amazing girl. She has just graduated from college with honors. She has always been a exemplary student as well as a woman of great character. She now has told me that she is thinking of spending her first few years of teaching, teaching abroad. She has enrolled for ESL Teachers Courses so that she can teach English abroad to those that are less fortunate. This may be the perfect oppurtunity for her to get out and see the world and also help people at the same time. It makes me so proud to be her mother and know that she will be a blessing to all those that she meets.
