Helping needy children in Asia
I saw an interesting way of helping needy children with my friend the other day. He showed me a New Zealand couple who had opened up an orphanage in Cambodia 25 years ago and who were now helping children in several Asian countries. They were bringing small girls into their care, giving them schooling and food and helping the brighter ones go to university where they could earn good qualifications and hopefully get a decent job when they were adults. This appears to be working for them. There are now young university graduates in Cambodia coming out of the orphanages set up by this couple. Helping needy children can be that practical.
