Remove A Tattoo With Dermabrasion

Before laser tattoo removal became more affordable and popular, dermabrasion was often used as a removal method. Dermabrasion works by sanding the top layers of the skin off. As the skin heals, new skin cells grow at the tattoo site. Dermabrasion is often painful and comes with several possible side effects. Scarring is one of the most common side effects when aggressive dermabrasion is used. In addition to scarring, infection of the treated area can occur.Another form of mild tattoo dermabrasion which uses a skin chemical peeler compound to lift the tattoo to the skins surface. Once the tattoo begins to lift, a skin exfoliating tool gently sands the top layer of skin without going to deep, and over time will remove a tattoo.
