The Efficient Use of a Defibrillator Saved My Mother’s Life
When my mother’s heart began ‘acting up’, we were blessed to be in a facility that had implemented life saving strategies through their employee training. As my mother fell to the floor, I heard one employee request a call to 911 while she picked up the defibrillator and ran to my mother’s side. With the professionalism and quickness she displayed, one would have thought her to be a veteran medical person. However, she was the sales clerk for the organization we were visiting. Without wasting time, she attached the device to my mother and simply followed the given directions. I have no doubt that without the use of this device; my mother would not have survived this event.
