Get extra Skil 18v batteries for your 2887-16 combo kit
The Skil 2887-16 18-Volt 4 Tool Cordless Combo Pack is obviously not on par with 500 dollar combo kits from Dewalt or Makita, but it also only costs a fraction. For the price, this is a pretty good power tool starter kit. My personal favorite is probably the circular saw. It wont muscle itself through everything, but if you go easy on it and let it do its thing, it works like a charm. You can cut about 70 2X4’s with a single charge of the Skil 18v batteries. If yours does less than that, you are probably doing something wrong or your batteries are defective. Remember that brand new 18v batteries from Skil will not be at their full potential until after you have charged them a few times. Overall, this power tool combo kit is highly recommended for people starting out, although you may want to buy a few extra 18v batteries and a charger.
