Work At Home Parents

My wife and I are work at home parents and it is not as easy as it used to be. I am a work-a-holic, and that was not a problem until we had our son. Now, I have gone from being extremely productive, to having to learn to be somewhat productive in little chunks of time. Learning to deal with work interruptions is something that takes a lot of work on my part. This is all further complicated with the fact that my wife also runs one of our companies from home, so she is in the same position as I am. Together, we have to work the schedule so that we can both get an acceptable level of work done while sharing the responsibility of raising our child. It has all required a great deal of patience (something I have never had a lot of). I do however, find that I have a lot of patience when it comes to our son. I wish I could just spend all my time playing with him without feeling guilty about the work not getting done. I want to be clear… I am not complaining. I absolutely love the fact that I can work from home and spend so much time with my family, but it is not without it’s challenges.
