Best Western a very pet friendly hotel chain
One of the largest chains of pet friendly motels and hotels is Best Western. They have over 1,800 locations that allow pets, including over 1,000 in the US and Canada. You need to book ahead of time and double check the pet policy, as these may vary from hotel to hotel in the chain. For example, in San Francisco the pet must be under 50 pounds and attended at all times or kennelled, and the guests must stay in a standard room on the first floor. However, in the San Diego Mission Bay location dogs must be under 25 pounds. There is $20 non refundable deposit per night, the dogs can’t be left alone, and they must be walked with a leash.
