Reasons for Temples
When I dated a guy not of my faith years ago, he asked me about one of our mormon temples across the street from our college. I did my best to explain what they are for without going into detail and not having been there yet myself except to the baptismal font, I don’t think I did the greatest job, but told him about all of the marriages that are performed in there. He said, “It’s just for a bunch of weddings? What a waste of space!” I hadn’t finished explaining, but was rather put off by his remarks, so I decided our discussion of mormon temples was done.
