Hiking At Lake Tahoe
Lake Tahoe on the border between California and Nevada boasts more than 130 hiking trails and, although I’m not sure whether it is true or not, is said to have more hiking trails per square mile than anywhere else in the United States. True not, one thing that is certain is that it will take you a very long time to explore all that Lake Tahoe has to offer and it will certainly be worth the effort. Indeed effort is hardly the right word as hiking in this particular area is pure pleasure. At the start of the season in June I broke in a new pair of Asolo hiking boots on the eight mile trail from Kingsbury Grade to Star Lake and the wild flowers were simply a riot of color. This is certainly one of my favorite hiking spots and, if you are not familiar with it, then I can thoroughly recommend it as an area that will keep drawing you back and showing you something new each time you visit.
