Traveling Light by Car
Spending hours cooped up in a cramped car is a miserable way to travel according to many-a travel blog. With just a little planning, you can get everything safely on board and still have room to stretch your legs. First, only pack essentials; don’t toss in extra clothing or other items “just in case.” Adding a luggage rack to the top of your car will save a lot of space inside, but don’t use that as an excuse to pile on a bunch of heavy bags, because that will reduce your gas mileage, increasing your travel costs. Try to avoid using large or odd-shaped boxes, because they take up more space and leave less room for things to be packed beside or on top of them.
